Costs, timelines, ownership and Google. If your question isn’t here, just ask.
How much does a website cost?
One-page sites start from £249 and five-page sites from £499. You get a fixed price before anything starts.
Is the mockup really free?
Yes. I'll design your homepage first. If you don't want to go ahead, you owe nothing.
How long does it take?
A one-page site can be live within about a week, and a five-page site in two to three weeks. Most of the wait is usually gathering photos and text, and I help with both.
Do I own my website and domain?
Yes. The domain is registered in your name and you get full access. No lock-in.
What are the monthly costs?
Hosting on Cloudflare is free for most small sites. The optional care plan (from £20/month) covers updates, monitoring and small edits. Your domain is roughly £5–£15 a year.
I don't have good photos or any text. Is that a problem?
No. I can write the words, use quality licensed stock photos, or give you tips for taking great photos on your phone.
Will I show up on Google?
Every site is built with local SEO basics: page titles, descriptions, business schema, and help with your Google Business Profile. Nobody can honestly guarantee the number one spot, but you'll be set up properly.
Can I update it myself?
Small edits are included in the care plan. If you'd rather do it yourself, I can show you how.
I already have a site. Can you fix it?
Yes. I rescue broken sites, move them off expensive builders, or redesign them.
Do you only work in Shawlands?
I'm based in Shawlands and focus on Glasgow's Southside, but I work with businesses anywhere, remotely.
How do I pay?
50% to start and 50% at launch, by bank transfer. Care plans are monthly.
Do you do other work besides websites?
Yes: website copywriting, ATS-friendly CVs, business plans and product descriptions.
Want to see your new homepage before you spend a penny?
Send me your business name and what you do. I'll send back a free mockup. No obligation.
